ASG Defender (2-Port, 4-Port, 8-Port)

The ASG Defender is a standalone, linux-based appliance which allows organizations to manage remote administrative access by internal technicians and outside vendors alike. Those technicians and vendors who are permitted to manage devices can easily connect to them, while unauthorized parties are completely locked out.

The ASG Defender eliminates risks due to insufficient administrative logins and the weaknesses of password authentication by supporting hundreds of unique users each of whom has unique credentials. ASG Defender supports a wide range of strong authentication methods, eliminating the risk of unauthorized access.

The ASG Defender provides support for end-to-end administrative session encryption with 3DES and AES while providing session capture and recording for all character-based sessions. This allows administrators to protect sensitive information while in transit over the network, yet still be able to monitor the activities of internal and vendor technicians.

The ASG Defender provides advanced monitoring and alarming features to provide awareness to both Avaya Services and customer Operations Centers. Defender can recognize and process alarms from Avaya and non-Avaya products and simultaneously deliver those alarms to multiple destinations via SNMP, e-mail, dial-out and pager.

The ASG Defender’s comprehensive set of features allow IT organizations to meet the demands of the most stringent government regulations and audits. Defender maintains logs of all events including successful and failed authentication, alarms, access to attached devices, errors and more.
